Calendrier et Resultats Ligue Nationale poule C 'Aquitaine' & Coupe Siddalls 2011

 à Bordeaux le 8 mai 2011

A poor batting performance 76 all out from 29 overs, top scorer Alex Larter 19, ( Smith 5-1-12-4 )!Bordeaux needed only 13 overs to get the runs, Arif taking 2 for 26 in 6 overs.

Victoire de Bordeaux.

v Eymet le 15 mai 2011

The day was fine but with a cool breeze. Eymet ( 9 players ) won the toss and chose to bat. Mike Gear got a snorter first ball and gloved a catch to the keeper. Some resistance, against tight bowling  ( Anis 6-1-15-3 ) and fielding, from the captain Sam Harrell with Jaman but both fell when trying to speed the run-rate, 77 all out. The slight total was run down in quick time, some lusty batting by Arshad ( 17 * ) Shakhil ( 14* ) and especially by Steve Gorridge ( 37*). The whole game played in an excellent spirit.

 v St. Aulaye le 22 mai 2011

A warm day but cloudy. Mansle batted first but were soon in trouble with John HARDING bowling well ( 6-1-18-4 ) for the visitors. Good innings from Steve GORRIDGE ( 45 )and Usman MOHAMMED ( 45 ) raised local hopes ( 127-23 overs ) before Adrian RAYNOR almost single-handedly took St.Aulaye to victory with an unbeaten 95.

victoire de St.Aulaye CC.

v Bordeaux le 5 juin 2011

Bordeaux batted first and Morgan, in his first game for the club, hit many boundaries in a sparkling 90, Abassi adding a sprinted 25 at the end, 225 all out from 40 overs. Good bowling from Garry Clulee ( 8-2-20-3 ) and Anis (8-0-32-3 ).Excellent bowling from Snooke ( 8-0-19-3 ) and club president Rupert Holderness ( 8-1-18-3 ) kept the wickets falling, in spite of some good hiiting from Steve Gorridge( 28 )  and Garry ( top score 42 ) and later Anis ( 23 ) we were all out for 182 after 40 overs.

Victoire de Bordeaux.

à St.Aulaye 19 juin 2011

Good start for St.Aulaye with the bat ( Raynor 60 ) , folowed by John Harding with lots of boundaries (78 ) aided by Nott ( 31 ) and Sheikh (38 ) made 259 for 4 from their 40 overs.

Opener Arshad made a quick 59 before being bowled, Steve an excellent 62 and Garry 52 should have been enough but a slow finish and late wickets falling left us short by 19 runs.

victoire de St.Aulaye

à Eymet 26 juin 2011

Eymet 201 for 7 after 40 overs, Mansle all out for 157.

Victoire d'Eymet.

à Damazan en Coupe Siddalls 10 juillet 2011

Damazan bat first on a fast outfield, Sanjay ( 54 ) and then Gagan (59 ) supported later by Harris (33 ) and Swarren (32 ) carry them to 234 for 4 after 40 overs. Usman 7-0-32-1 Saeed 5-0-28-1 Alex 5-1-29-1.

A good opening knock from Arshad ( 25 ) followed by Max Larter (46 ) and Usman ( 49 ) should have been enough, but good bowling by Sanjay 7-0-47-3 and Goffi 7-0-48-3 cleaned up the tail end, 205 all out after 30 overs.

Victoire de Damazan.

Mansle v Bordeaux II le 09/05/2010

Mansle 96 for 9 (all out) Bordeaux 78 for 9 after 20 overs. Mansle won by 18 runs.

We had planned an early noon start, but we could only play from 15h, due to persistent but light rain. We all agreed to play a reduced 20 over game.

Mansle won the toss and batted. In spite of some wayward stroke selection (!) they managed to score at nearly 5 an over.

Top scorer Usman MANAWAR 39 (including three sixes and 2 fours). Vasey four overs, three for 8.

In reply Bordeaux were cautious against tight bowling and vivacious fielding ( five run-outs) and left their charge too late and ended 18 short. Vasey 42 ( two sixes, one four). Kayani 3 overs 1 for 8.

Catus v Mansle le 16/05/2010

Catus lost to Mansle by 10 wickets

1st innings: Catus 95 all out (10 players), in 26 overs

Usman Mohamed 3-9 off 3 overs. Anis 1 for 18 off 7, Hamza 1for 6 off 2.

2nd innings: Mansle 96 without loss, in 14.1 overs.

Arshad 50*; Usman 24*.

Batting bonus points: Catus 0; Mansle 4. Bowling bonus points: Mansle 4; Catus 0.

 St.Aulaye v Mansle 20/06/2010

St Aulaye (1 point) lost to Mansle (26 points) by 6 wickets.

1st innings: St Aulaye, 118 all out, in 38.1 overs.

Raynor 23; Gant 22*. Clulee 3-27 off 5.1 overs.

2nd innings: Mansle 120-4, in 29.3 overs.

Larter (A) 30; Usman Mohammed 29*.

Batting bonus points: St Aulaye 0; Mansle 2.

Bowling bonus points: Mansle 4; St Aulaye 0.

Good bowling performance from Mansle (Clulee 3 for 27 from 6), two maidens to start, St.Aulaye never really got going (Rainor 23, Gant 22).

At 42 for 3 Mansle were wobbling but a good partnership by the youngsters Ehsan(17) and Larter.A (30) and a cameo from Usman Mohammed(29) saw them home.

Mansle v Eymet‏ le 11/07/2010

Mansle (26 points) beat Eymet (4 points) by 79 runs

Mansle batted first with Arshad hitting big sixes (66) but Bishop ( 5 for 33 off 7,3 ) steadily worked his way through the order. Some more sixes from Usman Mohammed (31 ) and Saeed ( 34) saw Mansle to a respectable 191.

Mansle knew they had to get past the Eymet opening batsmen ( Palmer 47, Gear 25 ) who both looked in good form as they raced to 75 for the first wicket. But the other batsmen never looked like getting the runs required and Mansle ran out comfortable winners ( Clulee 3 for 11 off 4 and Larter M 4 for 19 off 8 ). The match played in 35°C.

Siddalls Cup quarter final

St.Aulaye v Mansle le 25/07/2010

Mansle won by 34 runs.

Mansle batted first with Clulee (17) and Arshad ( 34 ) making good progress until Harding ( 2 for 18 off 7 overs ) saw them off. Then began a collective madness from Mansle middle order as they attempted to hit Birch's very slow spin ( 5 for 27 off 7 overs ) out of the ground but only succeeded in being caught, some excellent catching by St.Aulaye, both close up and in the deep. 128 all out off 29,2.

In reply St.Aulaye ( 94 all out- 10 men) struggled against tight bowling from Usman Manawar ( 5 overs for 9 with 2 maidens) and others, only Mawdsley ( 24) managed  to hit with any conviction. Sheikh batting with a runner made a brave 9 before a determined rearguard action by the stalwarts Hicks ( 15) and Birch ( 6* ) gave some hope, but a good late spell from Larter.M ( 3 for 14 off 6,2 ) and again some good catching saw Mansle home.

Batting bonus points: Angoulême 0; Eymet 0
Bowling bonus points: Eymet 4; Angoulême 4.

Usman MANAWAR continued his good form with the bat with a rapid 50, and Saeed AKTAR ( 25 with three sixes) scored quickly, but with a fast outfield the total looked short.
SWIFT 3 for 23 off 5, COOMBE 3 for 34 off 6, BISHOP 2 for 29 off 5.Eymet's top order went quickly to some inspired fast bowling from Anis MANAWAR, but stiff resistance from Marcus SWIFT, despite a nasty blow on the forearm, looked to be winning it, before he was bowled for 39 and Angoulême finished off the tail.
Anis MANAWAR 5 for 31 off 8, Zahid IQBAL 2 for 23 off 7.

Match played in over 30°C but in an excellent spirit.

Richard COX 3 for 29 off 8, Barry WEDGEWOOD 2 for 41 off 8, a nice cameo from PEARCE- 2 for 9 off 2,1.Quick work behind the stumps by Usman MOHAMMED saw Tim WILLIAMS stumped for only 4, and after Adrian RAYNOR was caught skying one to long on for 22, only Richard COX made the boundaries needed before being caught for 21 by Max LARTER (3 catches).
Zahid IQBAL 2 for 9 off 4, Anis MANAWAR 2 for 17 off 7, Usman MANAWAR 2 for 24 off 6. Arshad SHAH's first over was a wicket maiden, the second contained 7 wides!

Bowling bonus points: Bordeaux 4; Agoulême 4

In spite of overnight rain and showery weather all was in place for the second match at the new ground at Mansle.
Bordeaux won the toss and put Angoulême in.
Under threatening skies Bordeaux worked their way steadily through the ACC ranks. Usman MANAWAR scored well. Tactical resistance from Alex LARTER and a late run from Anis IQBAL took them to 133, which looked a bit short...
Tight bowling and fielding kept the lid on the Bordeaux reply, HURST and the excellent  Neil VASEY providing the backbone, but an increasing runrate demanded big hitting which Bordeaux couldn't provide (REEVES batted heroically with a runner) and Angoulême ran out logical winners.

Nine man ACC provided some big hitting (Saeed IQBAL 28) before the tail disintegrated leaving the captain Shakhil KAYANI(37*) to sneak over the winning line with some canny farming of the bowling .

First match at Mansle! After heavy overnight rain the pitch was a little soft but the ground was playable.
